Bral Grand Jury to Probe Liquor Case
Menesini and Bill Butulia were arrested in Lyon county after a raid on their premises. Stills, cooling apparatus, mash and liquor were seized. They were ordered held for the next federal grand jury, with evidence beyond the seized items to be presented.
Rail Spur Construction Begins Across American Flat
Work started yesterday as the W and T railway lays rails for a spur from the main line to the tunnel and mill site of United Comstock Mines Co. Section Foreman Ed Hawkins oversees. ballast comes from Carson City. The spur marks a key step in American Flat’s large building program toward a milling plant with 1000 tons daily capacity.
