Death of Stephen J Barnett in Los Angeles
Stephen J Barnett husband of Ella Rivers formerly of Smith Valley died in the Hollywood Lani tarium Los Angeles on the month after weeks of illness. He was 38, born in Alabama and moved west at 21 settling in California. He married Miss Rivers in April 1905 and was a respected businessman and devoted husband. He leaves a family in the South and a funeral was held at 831 West 34th Street Los Angeles on the 16th.

Death of E. B. Plummer Passes Suddenly in Yerington
Elbridge Baker Plummer, long time Mason Valley resident, died at Globe Hotel in Yerington about 1:30 a.m. Monday June 23 from internal hemorrhage after six months of declining health. Funeral held at Plummer ranch Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Collins officiated. Burial at Elmwood cemetery. Born March 21, 1845 in Searsport Maine, he moved to Mason Valley in 1901. He left a wife in Massachusetts and two sons, Clifford and George, in the East. He is survived by siblings Wesley B. Plummer in Massachusetts, Mrs. Willard Sherman of Appleton Maine, and George J. Plummer of this valley.
