Wingfield deal on Aurora Con property falls through
Wingfield interests who held an option on the Aurora Con property decided not to acquire it after a second option extended to cover prior assessments. Knights of Utah have invested about 600000 in a mill and development. A new offer emerged but exact figures were not disclosed. Meanwhile the Aurora grammar school playground opened with extensive facilities and free access for all children under supervision by Miss Fanny McKay.

Mrs Mary E Borland of Burns Oregon died Thursday in Sparks at her son P Greelys home. A Michigan native, 69, she came to Mason Valley in 1874, later moved to Oregon. Survived by three sons and two daughters and two brothers in Michigan and Mason Valley.

Injured at Aurora Shaft Accident Details
Joe Donetelli an employee at the Aurora Con mine in Aurora sustained a compound jaw fracture and crushed skull in a shaft accident on Tuesday. He was hospitalized at Mason hospital by auto and is not expected to resume work soon. He is a brother of Johnny McAllister's partner in the Antrora saloon business.

Washout on Copper Belt Road Halts Rail Traffic
A cloudburst in Wilson Canyon caused a washout on the Copper Belt road above the bulkhead between Wilson Station and Hudson. The road bed was covered with dirt and rocks but damage was not extensive. Repairs will clear and trains will run regularly today.

Dayton affray leads to assault charge and bond
Word reached Thursday of a Dayton night fight between residents George Eglin and Adam Schock. A gun and a club were used, injuring one participant. Schock struck Eglin after an insult, then Eglin left for a doctor. Schock faced a hearing and was held on 500 bond with sureties C. C. Brann and Will Guild to await grand jury.

Will Ship Milk to Tonopah From Local Valley
George W. Litts with a large Tonopah milk route plans to ship a sizable quantity from this valley. He has taken over the sterilizing plant on the Elges ranch and will process milk from about 25 cows, with expansion expected as Elges adds more cattle. All milk goes to Tonopah at favorable prices.
