2000 Ton Mill To Be Built On American Flat
Operations on the Gold Hill project of United Comstock Mines Co advance rapidly with plans to construct a 2000 ton daily capacity mill on American Flat doubling earlier plans. The cyanide, grinding and crushing departments will cover large dimensions as steel and concrete structures rise. Construction to take 12 to 14 months aims for operation in summer or early fall next year. Underground headings progress with the Jacket Belcher connection soon to be made.

Nevada Pioneer Lydia Frost Dies at Wellington
Lydia Ann Frost died at her Wellington home after nearly three months of illness. Known as Grandma Frost in Smith and Antelope valleys, she crossed the plains in 1863 and became a Nevada pioneer. She left two sons, Charles of Wellington and Will of Petaluma, and a daughter Mrs Klans Kratspe of Smith Valley. Funeral was at Antelope on July 3 with hundreds attending.
