Reverend F M Willis Dies at Pacific Grove
Reverend Francis Marion Willis, a Methodist minister born February 28 1830 in southern Illinois, died December 3 1918 at Pacific Grove California after a long ministry across California. He preached rode and endured privations, leaving nine children and many relatives. Funeral services were held in Pacific Grove after his return from a three week visit with his children.

Rev Martin Thomas led services as mourners recalled a Bible verse and prayed for solace amid grief.

Mose Bigonesse Jr Dead of Influenza at Campbell Ranch
Mose Bigonesse Jr died from influenza at Campbell Ranch on December 3, 1918. He came from Antelope Valley six months earlier to work on the ranch. A native of Carson, he had lived near Topaz for years and was the son of Mose and Jensie Bigonesse. The 23 year old single man was interred in Carson City last Thursday, with his father transporting the remains.

Local rancher Harold Swayne dies in fall accident
Harold Swayne a bucaroo at Antelope Valley Land and Cattle Co ranch north of town drowned Saturday November 30 while working. The young man from Pennsylvania had worked on the ranch about a year and was single. His body was sent home to his mother in Sayre Pennsylvania last Wednesday.

Word reached last Monday that John Conway a leading landholder and mining man in the Sweetwater district died at Mono Lake where his holdings were located. He succumbed to pneumonia after an influenza illness. He had been ill for several days and was reported in a dangerous condition. He was a brother of P J and Robert Conway of Sweetwater. Mr and Mrs Robert Conway came south Sunday hoping for recovery. They returned home Monday.

Little Daughter of Mrs Haworth Dies in Reno
Anna Ruth Haworth, three, daughter of Mrs. Alice L. Haworth owner of the Battle Mountain Scout and Reese River Reveille, died yesterday in Reno after a lengthy illness. Her father Lester Haworth died over a year ago and her sister since that time. She was the niece of Mrs. J. V. Fensiermaker.
