Yerington District Sees Fresh Mining Boost From Nevada Rockland Purchase
A Goldfield syndicate that held half of the Rogers Syndicate lease at Goldfield has bought the Nevada Rockland mine in East Walker Nevada. The deal comes after a $125000 gain on a $10000 Rogers lease investment. The property on Sugarloaf mountain lies 25 miles east of the Sierra base and Bodie California four miles from Wheelers and Wilson mine at Pine Grove. Ores are gold and silver and a mill exists, possibly requiring process changes. The move should spur mining activity in Mason valley and draw more Goldfield operators to Yerington area.
