Beaufighter Drops French Tricolor Over Paris Arc
British Beaufighter pilot drops the French tricolor at the Arc de Triomphe on June 14. The mission lasted 150 minutes, flying low over Paris and along the Champs Elysées before returning to England. Family May Get 15 50 Allotment For Dependents
Washington reports Congress passed a bill to provide cash allowances to dependents of married soldiers with two groups of beneficiaries. Class A covers wives and children. Class B covers parents and siblings. Payments depend on the soldier's contribution and vary by family size.
