Passing of Dr Shepherd in Wooster and Cleveland
Telegram from Cleveland reports the death of Dr Thomas P Shepherd in Huron Street hospital from typhoid fever. He was born in Hilliard in 1878, grew up in Wooster, and trained at the University of Wooster and Cleveland School of Homeopathy. He had been ill since last spring, then ptomaine poisoning, with his mother at his side. Interment was in Bristolville beside his father. funeral was held Wednesday.

A Republican reporter witnessed crippled boys rise and walk after treatment by Prof Leon. Herbert with a 2.5 inch spine curvature stood and walked after 45 minutes. Samuel, 8, with infantile paralysis, stood erect and walked after 30 minutes. Rev Babinger's sons showed improvement. Electric Railroad Completion Celebrated by Large Meeting
A large crowd gathered at the square Wednesday noon to honor the electric railroad finish. Delegation from Cleveland led by a band arrived with Creston leaders. Mayor Van Nest presided while Judge Stuyser and John McSweeney spoke. Wooster band provided music as dinner was served at the Archer house.

Married Gettleman and Amanda Hoe wed in Marion Iowa
A. B. Gettleman former partner in Gettleman & Weaver and Amanda Hoe Cedar Rapids were secretly married last week by a Marion justice of the peace. A report circulated via a friend in Marion claims the couple used disguises and false names, prompting inquiry from Mr Weaver who was alerted to pursue the matter. The message suggested the pair might now be in Cedar Rapids and that authorities should act if desired.
