Applecreek Sept 22 A runaway horse kicked during a Sabbath return injuring T H Derr and Clifford Smith. Crossbar dash and wheel were broken but occupants were unhurt except Clifford Smith who had a leg injury. George Hackett assisted, taking the injured home. Professor J Byron Oliver unveils this season's Artist's Recital Course to be held in Memorial chapel. The season features engagements by Clarence Eddy organist William HL concert with Miss Caroline Harter violinist Mrs Welmore Hans Kronald cellist and his Harmony Quartette of Cleveland including Mrs A McDonald and Harold Jar via a noted vocalist from Detroit.
At a congregational meeting the First Church decided to undertake repairs to the heating plant after a mechanic found the furnaces nearly useless. Estimated costs range up to about 14 pounds for a new furnace but repairs to the present setup are planned at roughly 9 hundred pounds.
