Cincinnati August 2 1879 Finance Committee of Hamilton County Republicans asks Hon Stane Matthews for a written opinion on Seitz law its constitutionality whether it prohibits campaign expenses by committees whether candidates may pay assessments or contribute to campaign funds whether ward or township groups may be funded and whether candidates may treat voters with cigars or liquor.
