Jacob Ottman died in Loudonville Ohio on November 3 1875 from heart paralysis after a 24 hour illness. Born in Bramath Alsace October 20 1832 he immigrated with his parents to Wayne county Ohio then Kendalville Indiana. He married Louisa Field in 1859 and after losses and moves built a business in Wooster and later in Loudonville with F Baldner. He remarried Sarah Clouse in 1866 leaving a daughter Jennie and a large community at his funeral conducted in the Reformed Church with Dr Locher and L Wiles.
