Peculiar Position in Ohio Prison Case
From Ohio Stats Journal November Star the wife of Fred Roth a Wayne county prisoner draws attention due to odd circumstances. The commitment for his second term pending would begin in 1907 though his current sentence ends Christmas day this year. He is serving 26 years for manslaughter and counterfeiting and was paroled 1892 and returned 1893. The 1907 term of eight years would place him as a U S prisoner from Hamilton county for counterfeiting. Court plans to retain him in custody may lead to habeas corpus action. good time could cut the release date by nine years six months.
