Strange Midnight Break In At Middletown House
In Middletown a two story brick home owned by Hezekiah Hollman was struck by a spree of strange events. A pantry large hand was taken, a window forced from outside, and bedroom cloth torn with three large holes cut from a bed curtain. Neighbors watched as 20 penny nails bent, a door latched, and a mysterious power opened and closed a kitchen door. Mrs Sheely and a neighbor’s girl heard noises upstairs and found torn clothing, while a shirt and a dress were shredded. No clear culprit was found despite a thorough search, and the case draws wide interest as one of the village’s strangest episodes.
