From Thursday's Last Fin bert, W. EF. Evert of the Second Ward was shot in the face by Harry, son of Ira Drez. The weapon, a 22 cartridge revolver, misfired after two uncocked rounds remained in the chamber. The ball lodged in Ebert's left cheek. Dr. J. J. Warner could not locate it at first due to swelling. Ebert survived, though his face will bear a scar. The incident arose when the revolver, loaded as alleged by Ebert, discharged during a mistaken handling in a delivery office. The site was chosen at Quindy Jones & Yons land about 344 miles uphill back, with A A Geitgey and others directing drilling to begin by Monday.
Mrs Sarah Fitznier of Wooster recalls her yearlong son Charley Fitter aged 1h years falling ill with nervous prostration. Doctors doubted recovery until Dr Kutchin, the visiting specialist, prescribed medicine. In three days he improved and in a month fully recovered. Mrs. Ian Bramter Derr of Wooster was granted a divorce from Charles Derr in Ashland County Court, with custody of their child awarded to Mrs. Derr. From Friday's Daily Jacob Sherrick living southwest of the city was taken for custody this morning by Constable H J Opl na on a charge of petit larceny. An affidavit by Alex Brace alleges that Sherrick stole two German Hares. The accused underwent examination before a justice of the peace and awaits action of the grand jury.
