While Mowery walked back he saw two men in a buggy and a third following. He borrowed a revolver from Mr Becker in Chester township and it discharged accidentally striking Becker in the left hand, the ball lodging near the elbow. Dr. A M Mowery removed the ball.
Millersburg farmer Harry A Dut left Monday for eight courses at Wooster University. John B Odell of Big Prairie attended court Tuesday and stopped by for a friendly call. Mrs CG M Yocum, formerly Belle Ross, has been nominated by Wooster women for a school board seat.

A Wooster Alumni Subscription plan targets raising $25,000 for a new English chair by June 1 1895. The Building and Loan Association method would issue stock at $12 yearly per share with about 350 shares maturing in five years to reach the endowment goal. The plan aims to complete the subscription before the Silver Commencement and resume university work with a new professor in the fall.
