Woosterites can travel for two cents a mile next Saturday. Easton Rhodge of Baltimore and Ohio says no word from headquarters yet on possible changes or injunctions. A scarlet fever case at Wayne County Children's Home prompted officials to keep the facility closed to visitors on Wednesday. The affected child, three year old Wayne Prior, was hospitalized after being brought from Ashland three weeks ago. Precautions aim to prevent further spread of the illness. Judge J Maxwell presides as the Twentieth Century Heating and Ventilating Co sues Dr J W Lehr for recovering money under a furnace contract claim. Excitement rises in western Ashland County after a striking oil discovery just over the line. A strong flow was hit at 2800 feet and the well quickly filled with oil to a length over 8000 feet. Orville residents rejected a bond measure for 15 000 dollars to enlarge and remodel the Town Hall. A total of 482 votes were cast with 230 in favor and 202 against, failing to reach the two thirds required for approval.
A funeral was held here yesterday for Clarence Huston who died by suicide Saturday in Congress. He was born nearby and the service was led by Rev Dear, former pastor of the United Baptist church. The community mourns the loss and supports the heartbroken mother.

Clark Taylor aged 17 son of J J Taylor living near Morrland was accidentally shot Monday afternoon by a revolver in the hands of Rev Bohnert of the Methodist church The bullet struck the left breast and lodged under the arm while the Rev broke the gun to reload Dr H J Stoll operated to remove the bullet and reported the injuries not seriously dangerous though blood poisoning could risk life Rev Bohnert was greatly distressed by the accident
Rumor of an injunction over Beal local option voting circulated for days. Officials stated there would be no injunction and the election would proceed as planned. Deputy election supervisors received notice Tuesday that ballots would be prepared and the auditor certified the council’s decision to the election clerk Whitmore.
The funeral for Mrs Sarah Bucher took place on a Saturday at 10 a.m. at the home of her son Leviore with Rev W Littell officiating and Miss Cora Hoelzel singing. Burial followed at Madisonburg Lutheran cemetery. Mrs Bucher, aged 76 years 6 months and 10 days, was long a member of the United Presbyterian church and known as a devout Christian.
ARMSTRONG March 8 P Miller contracted to furnish 10 cord of wood for Hill Top school. Buff Showalter moved to J Raudebesugh farm, J Hensel vacated. Mr Reeese of Columbus staying with J Wholgamdot. Last Thursday Frank Jacobs fell when a shaft broke on Congress hill causing the horse to bolt and throw Frank bruising his face. The horse was caught at Armstrong. The sick are improving.
On Wednesday evening a camp of the United Spanish War Veterans will be organized at the GA R Hall on Wednesday March 7 at 7 30 p m. All persons who served in the army navy or marine corps in the Spanish American War Chinese Expedition or Philippine Insurrection prior to July 1902 are eligible for membership. F M Fanning of Cleveland Inspector General National Encampment Swill mitts in the camp.
