Keefe Farm House Burns. Family Loses All

A rural residence south of the city owned by Mrs. Lawrence Keefe burned late Saturday night. Wm Franks and family lost nearly all clothing and household goods. The fire likely started from a defective flue. Mrs Keefe carried a small amount of insurance on the home. The blaze, sighted in town, was linked to a fire on a B and O trestle and a Pennsylvanian Lines work train crew assisted. Several young men went to the scene to fight the flames, arriving to find the house a total loss.
