Gov Herrick appoints Hon Ed S Wertz of Wooster as Ohio delegate to the National Good Roads convention in Portland Oregon on June 21. The governor cites Wertz’s deep interest in the movement and his active participation in related legislation at the last session.

High school commencement Friday June 9 at Presbyterian church. graduates Eunice Hackett Mary Mitchell Claire Hoover Archie Brown. Patterson commencement held at Methodist church. fourteen graduates. Howard Peters of Creston circulates among friends. Chester Township Sunday School convention sets June 17 at the Lutheran church. Erma Webster of Blackleyville visits Capitola Musselman. A daughter was born May 30 to Howard Eberhart and wife. Chester Township commencement at the Schoolhouse June 9 with John McSweehey of Wooster delivering the address. Mr. Smith and wife of Ashland and Mr. Weaver and Miss Smith of West Salem visit M. V. Ocker. Mrs Rabb of Mansfield and John Hallman of Shelby visit.
Mrs Daura Brown’s residence on Main Street is being painted. Kannigan have returned to Canton area to visit relatives. A strawberry and ice cream social at the parsonage is planned for July 10. Mrs Mary Wintville visited friends recently. Rev Wilbalm’s lecture drew a large Lutheran church audience. Ed Troxel visited old friends before leaving for Denver to enter business. Farmers plow corn while townspeople fish.
New Pittsburg beat Overton 18 to 0 last Tuesday in Overton. Players Hime Landis McAfee George for New Pittsburg. Also notes a fugitive horse belonging to Clem Moses and a Lawrence family reunion at Samuel Speck’s home. Howard Peters of Creston visited village friends. Firestones reunion reported June 1.
Mt Eaton Ohio June 6 05 graduates of class of 05 held commencement exercises in the Reformed Church on May 26. The event featured Orations by Logan Mumaw Minnie Numbers Kelland Mamaw and Clara Mumaw with music by Mt Eaton orchestra and solos by Clara Mamaw. Prof A H Etling Orrville teacher gave the address praising steady effort and ambition. The ceremony included diplomas presented by Rev J F Granel and a benediction.
June 6 notes report Misa Susie Mark returning from a three week visit at Forest. B R Mowory and W G H Brandt came back from a Tenn essee trip. H L Zimmerman and Delpha Smyser joined a fishing party at Roundlake last Saturday. The Women's Missionary society of the Reedsburg Lutheran Church will serve strawberries ice cream and cake at the parsonage Saturday evening June 10. Everybody cordially invites Miss Edna Zeigforts at home, have Fredericksburg.

Canaan June 6 Miss Anna Wiles is spending her vacation at home. The Haas and Mathes reunion will be held Thursday at the home of Mr Shaw in Creston. The Presbyterian Sunday school will present a children's day service on Sabbath evening June 18. Workmen begin new houses for Daniel Wiles and Fred Fike. Mr and Mrs Geo Mathes of Creston attended church and visited with local families. A called school board meeting was held for important business. Ben Bowers and family plan to move into the community. Mr Webst of Wooster and B&B L Wells of Medina were visitors. The town enjoyed a torner band concert Thursday and hopes to reorganize. Several residents were at home for a period after recent writing. Communion service at the Presbyterian church admitted three adults. Prof Ges Jacot visited town. Methodist Sunday school will hold children's day exercises next Sunday. Azel Itmiro visited Burbank friends part of last week. Mrs Darrah of Barberton visited local friends. Decoration day exercises were held with citizens present.
