On Saturday evening John Owens and his two sons rode from East Greenville Howells mine where Owens is engineer. A frightened horse threw Owens from the buggy and he was knocked unconscious. He has since suffered recurring vomiting but the physician Dr. Pope holds hope for recovery.

A Cape Nome letter yesterday confirms his critical condition and that Mrs. Young and their two children remain in Brooklyn New York.
Members held an election this afternoon in Rest and Water townships. F Pumbaugh Wm Anistrong of Canaan Winship Tiistman of Wayne township idle and Ehrigh of Hin township were elected. A meeting for the annual exhibition is to be held later.
A fire outbreak at a farm near Edton destroyed the tenant house on the Baumgartner property. Residents awoke to flames in the rear kitchen and fought hard to extinguish the blaze. The structure burned to the ground with the night long efforts concluding at late hours.
