Becynes.O Jan 8 The Cleveland and Southwestern Highway Or was organized yesterday with Bucyrus and Eastern capitalists. Work on securing the right of way from Cleveland to Bucyrus will proceed at once. Directors elected include Thomas Beer Wiliam C. beer Shannon Clements Smith W. Bennett and W A. Blieke. Officers: president Thomas Beer, vice president W Beer, secretary Robert Bear, treasurer W A. Guse. The group expects the route to be profitable and attract capital, noting an older road behind the scheme.
A young man named Shoup, son of Mrs. Joseph Shoup of Orrville, lost three fingers of his right hand in an accident near here. Drs. Shivley of West Lebanon and Marshall of Orrville treated him, but he became very ill afterward.
About 8 o'clock Friday evening Curtis Shipley 15, son of Mrs Hobert Shipley of North Grant street, was dodging along West South street when a man across the street shouted and threw a rock that missed his head and struck a building. The frightened lad fled toward town and found Marshal Elisperman barely able to speak. He does not know the assailant or reason for the attack.
