Mrs Lavina Jones wife of Quinby Jones died at 9am Sunday from paralysis after a long illness. She was born August 16 1639 on a farm southwest of Wooster and leaves a husband and three children John Tohea Mary Jones and Joseph Jones. A daughter Emma Crawford formerly of Los Angeles California died years ago. The funeral was held Tuesday at the family home with many neighbors in attendance. The service was conducted by Rev Spellenberger and pallbearers included relatives.

An unknown man, believed to be a tramp, was badly injured along the railway near the village and died on Tuesday. Relatives or friends could not be learned. Trustees will hold the body for a few days to identify the deceased.

On Friday night near North Market Street two men were seen peeking into windows while a frightened husband and wife hid. The wife, brave, walked room to room with a revolver and provided bullets to officers. Local authorities investigated the incident and secured the scene.
