An unidentified stranger registered as Lee Henkape at Clinton Hotel on November 6 in Emporia Kansas collapsed at 6 o clock during the evening meal and died before reaching the hotel office. He was a marble cutter, pale, small in stature around 65, bald with a mustache, and had worked at Junction City and Council Grove before came here to Third and Commercial works. No papers or clues were found on him.

Mrs. Mary E Fleming-Bartol widow of John Barton died Saturday afternoon at her North Market Street home after a brief lung congestion illness. A Pennsylvania native and Wooster resident since childhood she ran a boarding house for University students and was beloved by her boarders. She leaves three sons John Bartol George Bartol and James Bartol. The funeral was held today at her residence. The late widow gained notoriety from a breach of promise judgment against Thomas Thompson Eckert later Gen. Thomas T. Eckert of New York whose failure to pay drew wide attention in Ohio courts.
