Alcock Impresses as Barons Add Prospect to Nashville Call
The Birmingham Age-Herald reports Forby Alcock, a Wooster Ohio native linked to Ginger Clark, has impressed fans with his batting and fielding since joining the Barons in Nashville last Monday. Manager Vaughn may have found a jewel as Alcock shows pace at the plate and improving defense, though more experience is needed. Meanwhile the Carters struggle with crippled players as Congress Japs big win 15 to 38 and Giants late game at Killback underlined roster gaps and travel constraints.
