A one cent per mile rate applies on all railroads. Gibson President Enos Pikuson Secretary asks attendees to confirm how many will go.
Col W F Hinman of Washington DC, a newspaper man who has attended many reunions, praised Camp De Courcy saying the arrangements were perfect. He called the park the best place he ever saw for Sherman Brigade reunions and noted no arrests occurred on the grounds, crediting attendees and police.

A Doylestown correspondent notes Wayne county Republicans and diverse voters praising the nomination of H. Meller for Representative. Chippewa township anticipates a robust campaign across the ticket, praising the lineup from top to bottom.
Dr H B Bertolette of thre ve represents Wayne county at Millersburg as the 17th 28th district Republican senatorial committee. They fixed Wednesday Sept 4 Mt Vernon to nominate a candidate against Will Harper W N I Wagers and Ohmstead was chosen as Holmes county delegate. Wayde Knox and Morrow counties to select their delegates. Mt Vernon dispatch says nominees may be elected this year.
Excursion tickets to Canton will be sold at low round trip rates from Alliance and Wooster stations on the Pennsylvania Lines for the races. Return coupons valid August 24. Also a one fare round trip rate for the Young Peoples Christian Union event in Columbus. Tickets on sale August 20 to 22, good returning by August 27. Ask any ticket agent for tickets via this line.
A hot Friday contest at the Fair Grounds saw the Minglewoods of North Lawrence defeat Wooster 10 to 6 despite strong home battery work. Errors, lack of practice, and sharp Minglewood hitting shaped the outcome as fans and local pins noted the visitors’ consistent hitting and Wooster’s effort.
