Power Brothers Father Dies After Mouth Fungus
John Power Sr died in Mt. Vernon after a mouth fungus on Monday evening July 30 at age 72. Born November 17, 1805 in Washington county Pennsylvania, he moved to Ohio in 1819, lived in Wayne and Coshington before Mt. Vernon. He married Matilda Bettle in 1838 and had nine children, eight living: Johnny Thomas N, James W, Samuel in Mt. Vernon. George in Wooster and clerk of Wayne county court. daughters Nancy McCoy in Kansas, Melvilla O and Martha A in Mt. Vernon.
