From Friday's Dally it is reported that after the Vieveland Akron and Columbus Railway was taken by the Pennsylvania Co the Wooster work train would be stationed at Orrville to handle wrecks inconveniencing Wooster. Trainman W E Hubbard said he knew nothing of the report. It is hoped the train will not be moved as the families of 25 men would leave and the city would lose trade.
The funeral was held in Shreve for Frank Horner who died a few hours after the birth of his son on Tuesday morning. Relatives visited from Wooster and Blachleyville, with a large attendance. He was 20 years old, wed Oct 4 1898 to Migs Ivanche Stough. the newborn son was born about 10 hours before his death. The note mentions Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy sold by Laubach & Boyd.
In Wooster the Pool-Killer ring worked a shell game on locals. Marshal Latimer chased two men who vanished when officers closed in. The heaviest loser was William Green of West North Street, who lost 60 dollars and accepted the outcome as a fair punishment for falling for the scam.
