Street commissioner Archer Hunter of Shreve collapsed and died Thursday afternoon while plowing just west of the village. He was 65 and a highly respected citizen. An unknown man about 60 was struck and killed by train No. 9 east of Alliance this morning. No identification was found on Hunter or the other victim.

The A and B teams played baseball with Wallington, while two loyal teachers, Prof S S Milligan and Miss Jennie Flattery, will leave next year. Milligan becomes Springville Iowa superintendent. Flattery sails for Germany June 22. The Civil Government teachers' meeting is tonight at 7 30 in City Hall Board Room.
