Frank J. Cheney senior partner of F. J. Cheney & Co. swears the firm will pay one hundred dollars for each case of catarrh not cured by Hall's Catarrh Cure. Certification dated December 5, 1888, before a city clerk. Also notes Hall's Catarrh Cure is taken internally and affects blood and mucous membranes. Henry & Co. advertise in Toledo for sale of the remedy by druggists.
The Wooster Presbytery convened at Kanke Chapel with Rev W W Anderson presiding. Business included dissolving Chester Church, installations planned for Rev T S Gossart at Millersburg and Rev J B Hutchinson of Shreve among others, plus committee reports and calls.

Deputy Sheriff Frank Rott arrested trustees A B Douglass Alvert Litley C W McClellan James McClellan and Joseph McClellan at Snake Hollow in Sugar Creek on contempt of court charges over a year long ban on church use by certain faith curists. They posted bonds and await further court orders.
