Woodbridge Gets $20,000 From Gas Tax
About 20000 will be apportioned back to Woodbridge Township from state gas tax funds this year, per County Treasurer Arthur J. Hamley. From a $6,000,000 fund, Middlesex County receives 161,200, and Woodbridge Township gets one eighth. Funds go to municipalities for traffic control or street and road repairs, not to the Board of Freeholders. The county treasurer is preparing the list for February quarterly payments.

Youth 23 and 13 Caught Stealing Bread to Feed Family
Herbert Schuh 23 of 2881 Parkway Linden and his 18 year old half-brother Robert Maul were arrested on Oak Tree road Iselin after stealing bread to feed their 13 family members. They fled a bread truck and were prompted to confess after police were notified. Their mother confirmed the hardship after authorities investigated a large underfed household with nine children and an elderly grandmother.
