Vida residents note visits and incidents across town

Miss Irene Harbaugh closed her term in Vida and will visit the Dakotas before returning to Minnesota. Chas Styer of Sand Creek called in Vida on Thursday. Milo Gorley was injured when a wild horse kicked his leg, causing pain. Mrs Elmer Dye and Mrs H Nefzger brought Boyd Nefzger home from Wolf Point where he finished school. Myrtle Torrison is home from Wolf Point. Leo Schil reports slight improvement to many friends. State nurse and Superintendent Cora Bauer inspected local children. Phyllis Gorley helps with household duties. George Verstegen family spent Sunday with the Nefzger home. Clyde McFarlan’s relatives learn of his death in Oelwein. Chas Jacobs and Howard visited the Saboe home. Treichelt and Harry Stebbins were Wolf Point visitors.

Stone Carlson raises the season with over 500 turkey eggs set. Chas Winship and Mrs J E Wagaman visit, and John McPeek journeys to Wisconsin to visit his brother for about a month. Oscar Olsen manages the farm during McPeek’s absence. Marshall Winship and family spent Sunday with relatives at the farm.
