May Party at Winthrop Yacht Club Ends in Grand Style
The May party and christening of the one design class at the Winthrop Yacht Club Tuesday night featured a decorated hall and a May pole dance. Boats named Donder Dancer Prancer Comet Vixen Blitzen and Possum were the contest entries with cups promised by Senator Bagley and Representative Casassa. A large committee organized the event and many local residents attended, including Commodore Blaze, the Allen and Ball families, and numerous Misses and Mrs. Devereux.

Keough Elected President of Winthrop Firemen
Henry E. Keough was chosen president at the Winthrop Firemen’s Relief Association annual meeting in the Centre Engine House. E Elden Crosby was named vice president and other officers were recorded secretary Alonzo F. Coggins, financial secretary Alonzo F. Coggins, treasurer John P. McNichol, and trustees including Herbert W. Tewksbury and Frederick F. Woolcott. The group reported over $500 in sick and relief benefits paid last year and a strong bank balance. Keough, a three year call man, also serves in the Winthrop A A and has held office there.

Cottage Park Club Entertains Children
The Cottage Park Yacht Club hosted a Saturday afternoon children's party organized by the entertainment committee chaired by Mr Burnham. The event featured dancing games and refreshments that delighted children and impressed adults, with fancy dancing by the children praised as professional quality. The committee is praised for a season of entertainments said to be among Winthrop's best.

First Unitarian Church Holds Annual Meeting
The First Unitarian Church held its annual meeting in the vestry last Wednesday with about 80 members and a supper by the Woban Alliance. F W Woodcock was elected moderator, reports were given by the treasurer Henry A Root and others, and a larger standing committee was elected. The Good Cheer Alliance also met, electing officers led by President Mrs James A Sheldon, with reports of earnings and activities for the year.

Adams seeks approval for $150000 30 year bonds for BRBL railroad
President of the Boston Revere Beach Lynn Railroad asked the railroad commission to authorize a new issue of 150000 dollars in 30 year bonds at 4 percent to complete the first mortgage financing started in 1896. Proceeds will partly meet floating indebtedness of 304782 dollars. No opposition was raised.
