C Porter Thwesbury announces candidacy for Tree Warden citing twenty five years in tree and street care. He notes endorsements from a Citizens Caucus and prior planting and maintenance work for Revere Winsthorpe area rail and park authorities and private clients.
This letter reports Dr Orville E Johnson as a strong candidate for re election to the school committee and notes registration figures for a coming election. It lists precinct totals including 2672 registered voters and highlights past service and high school building efforts. The writer urges voters to re elect him citing progress and two children in school.
On Friday evening last, at 186 Pauline street, Miss Annie S. Ware married Herbert E. A. Reed. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Frederick M. White. Relatives and friends attended from Sedgwick Maine, Waltham Somerville and Winthrop. Many wedding gifts were received.
Mr William B Abbott of Lynn and Mrs Carrie M Porter of Jefferson Street Winthrop were married last Saturday at 1 pm in Boston at Rev A A Stockdale's residence. Only immediate family attended. They traveled to New York after a wedding dinner and plan to live on Jefferson Street. Mrs Abbott is a bookkeeper at Winthrop News Company. Mr Abbott works in the shoe business.

William Cliff died at his son in law Judson True home on Monday after a two week illness. He was 94 years and 6 months old. Services were held at 18 Beacon Street and later in New Brunswick where he helped build a church. He left four sons and one daughter. He was born in Queensboro York County New Brunswick and lived in the United States, including Winthrop. He was a Baptist and respected community member with full faculties at death.
