Winthrop Improvement Association Holds June Meeting
The Winthrop Improvement and Historical Association met in June with about 29 members at a strawberry supper. Joseph L. Newton presided, committees reported seed distributions, fundraising ideas, and town improvements, including playground funds, gravel sale, and plans for a park on former Robert Treat Vaughan land.

Town awards concrete wall contract after bid opening

Change of Feme Timetable at Boston Revere Beach
The summer timetable of the Boston Revere Beach and Lynn railroad goes into effect Thursday. Trains will run until 9 pm on a 10 minute schedule. Ten minute trains will also operate Saturdays Sundays and holidays afternoons.
