Annual Banquet Adds Spark to Winthrop Parish Life
The Winthrop Woman's Club held its annual gentlemen's night at St. John's Episcopal parish house with a 150 plus banquet and a Langham Mandolin Orchestra concert. Mrs Johnson welcomed guests. Mrs Gardner read an original poem. Mayer's Orchestra provided dancing late into the night. The club plans a February talk on Germany and economic progress.

Ladies' Aid Annual Meeting Convened at First Baptist
The Ladies' Aid Society of the First Baptist Church held its annual meeting in the vestry on January 15. Officers for 1913 were elected including President W H H Young and Treasurer C H Leach. A retiring treasurer A E Wyman reported strong six year finances and a collation was served. A bouquet honored retiring president J T Whitman.
