Captain Elisha Ryder born September 2 1829 in Chatham died at his son Frank Ryders Baker Oregon after a life as a New England sea captain and Forty Niner. He leaves three sons Frank Horace Merrill Ryder and Gilman Ryder and a daughter Mrs Joe Mitchell Chapple. funeral in Winthrop Sunday January 19.
