The annual Senior Class 1907 dance at Winthrop High School was well attended with many Greater Boston high schools represented. Cambridge sent the largest delegation and matrons included Mrs Beards, Mrs Johnstone, Mrs Ordway, Mrs Stowe, and Mrs Shorley.

Installation of W. R. C Officers and Veterans Reminiscences
After a W. R. C meeting, officers were installed led by Mrs. Annie E. Crosby as president and Mrs. Caroline Bartlett as vice president. Frances Somerby assisted, remarks were given by Commander Charles R. Gardner and Campbell, with veteran reminiscences from William P. Brown and Sylvester. Mrs. Somerby’s poem and Virala Crosby’s piano accompanied a bountiful collation by Charles and Alvah B. Crosby.

Governor Guild removed Dr. Harris from the Suffolk County medical examiner post after months of belief he could no longer serve. Harris, a resident of Winthrop on Johnson Avenue, refused to resign and will not contest the move. He served since the office’s founding and participated in many notable death inquiries, while naming no successor.

Yule Tide Charity Distributes Gift Bags to Town Children
The Yule Tide Charity Club held its eighth annual distribution in Social Hall on December 94. Santa Claus arrived at 2 30 and gave gifts to about one hundred children from all town sections. Girls received dolls and clothing while boys got toys or games. Candy was shared and Rev. O W Henry of St John s Church offered closing remarks.
