Winthrop Machine Gun Company Forms at Camp Greene

The Winthrop Machine Gun Company organized in January 1915 and newly quartered at Camp Greene Charlotte is praised for efficiency under Captain Richmond G. Stoehr and officers. Recruits from Winthrop totaled sixty nine with local support including an auto truck aiding transport for Framingham musters.
