Band Concert Draws Big Crowd in Drasco

A large audience, estimated around a thousand, attended a band concert in Drasco last Tuesday. Visitors from Winters, led by Chamber of Commerce officials, praised Drasco’s hospitality and urged mutual support for the Runnels County Fair and cross community cooperation.

Winters Hosts Angelo Exposition Delegation Visit

A Winters Chamber of Commerce welcome greeted visiting Angelo residents led by President H. C. Jones and Mary Farrow. The group toured the city and enjoyed performances by the Angelo band and Winters Junior Chamber group before gathering at Tinkle Park for a barbecue hosted by Winters merchants. Speakers lauded Winters as a good town with loyal citizens.

The Clyde High School football team battled a 0-0 tie with the Winters Bulldogs in heavy mud. Winters limited Clyde to five first downs while Clyde produced several punting exchanges and a single completed forward pass.
