Texas Aeronautics fears aviation act may cut airport aid
Ford Austin Texas Aeronautics Commission warns new federal aviation legislation could reduce state airport building aid of over 400000 dollars yearly. Proposals would raise fuel taxes licensing fees passenger taxes and cargo levies to fund airport improvements and congestion relief. TAC plans a 3245000 dollar construction aid program and urges a state jet fuel tax of 3 to 4 cents per gallon to replace lost funds.
