Waterfowl stalking demystified by outdoors editor
The article explains waterfowl stalking as a windward blindside approach using tall marsh or rice-field cover, low visibility days, and ample wind. It notes geese are harder to stalk than ducks and suggests two hunters, with one drawing attention while the other approaches.
Two-Hunter Duck and Goose Stalking Tactics
The article explains a two hunter method where one hunter acts as the decoy to keep birds attention while the second stalks from behind. It notes that even with a front hunter some birds swing into range for pass shooting and that pairs can execute a duck stalk using man up front and man behind strategies.
Duck stalking tactics in waterfowl hunting advice
