Put Leaves In Boxes and Bags To Haul Away
Winters householders may have their raked leaves hauled away if they are put in boxes or bags for ease in handling. Containers with leaves should be left in the regular garbage pick up areas. City Sanitation Department workers will not have time to load leaves from piles. Residents urged not to burn leaves and other trash at the curbs and on the paved streets. Leaf fires destroy asphalt paving, leaving holes hard to repair.
