Texas Revenue Sharing Bill Aids Winters and County
Gov. Preston Smith says the House approved revenue sharing would give Winters City $28 652 and Runnels County $85 011 in the first year with a total Texas city and county allocation of about 202 million dollars retroactive to Jan 1 1972. Initial county figures show Winters would receive the stated amount as part of broader relief to financially pressed Texas municipalities.
