The Be Busy Sewing Club met at Mrs. G. T. Short's home with members M. H. Hogan Etta Bryant H. B. Parks J. C. Martin Fred Poe Nadeen Smith Bill Millorn S. P. Gray and visitor Mrs. L. D. Gideon. Handwork was done and plans set for the next gathering at Mrs. Lewis Blackmon's on Monday May 22.
B H Boots Denson, 79, longtime Wingate resident, dies at his home. Funeral at Spill Memorial Chapel with ministers Jack Hutton and E B McCown officiating. Burial in Wingate Cemetery. Survived by wife Beatrice Allman, four sons, one sister, four brothers, 12 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
