W P Clements of Tucson visiting his brother E Clem ents has purchased two residence lots west of the railroad adjoining the George Rosson property and will immediately erect two modern five room bungalows. Death of Austin resident J H McMillan at 68
J H McMillan died in Austin Texas at 7 o clock Thursday morning last week aged 68 years 8 months and 21 days Funeral services were held at First Methodist church Friday at 5 pm with Rev J A Bell officiating Interment was in Ridge Park cemetery Marshall & Marshall had charge of arrangements He was the son of Rev F C and Mary J McMillan both deceased He was born Oct 11 1856 in Freestone county Texas and moved with his parents to Hill county in 1856 settling near Abbott later moving to Hillsboro in 1900 He lived in Austin since 1905 He joined the Methodist church as a youth and had been a member for forty years He is survived by three sisters Mrs L P Burkhalter Hillsboro Mrs B T Young Hillsboro and Mrs T B Young Winters and five brothers Tom Houston George Waco Marvin Leedey Taylor Oklahoma City Johnny Hillsboro One sister Mrs S P Burkhalter and two brothers Ben and Sterling had died earlier Pallbearers were W A Craig C D Brannon Rude Wilson Joe W Davis Forest Robey and Gilbert Marshall

Plum tree limbs yield heavy fruit at Hall's property
Mr J C Watts secretary of the Chamber of Commerce shows two plum tree limbs from Jne Hall's back yard. One limb measures eleven inches with twenty four plums, the other twelve inches with twenty one plums. Twelve plums had fallen. Hall says the tree is laden and bears more fruit each year. Watts photographed the plums on display in his office.
