Herman Andrae Rites Held After Brief Illness

Herman Andrae age 69 died Wednesday night at his sister's home after a brief illness. Funeral services were Friday at Spill Memorial Chapel with Rev. Walter Probst of St John's Lutheran officiating. Burial followed in Lutheran Cemetery. He was born June 11 1903 in Winters and worked on farms until retirement. Survivors include two brothers, three sisters, and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were E Thormeyer Robert Spill Erwin Ueckert L W Kettler George Pruser Lloyd Wilkerson.

Ladies Aid Circle of Lutheran Church Meeting at St Johns

The Ladies Aid Circle of St John s Lutheran Church held a regular Thursday afternoon meeting in the church fellowship center with vice chairman Mrs A C Minzenmayer presiding. Program led by Mrs Herman Spill and devotional by Mrs Walter Probst. Bible study leaders named and offering meditation given. Mrs Ellis Ueckert to host Bible study at her home later this month. Twenty members answered roll call with scripture verses. Hostesses were Mrs Robert Gerhart Mrs Walter Gerhart and Mrs H L Frick.

Mrs G Tomlinson Dies In San Angelo At 74

Mrs Gra dy Tomlinson 74 died Sunday morning at the Colonial Nursing Home in San Angelo where she had lived the past year. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 30 p m in Spill Memorial Chapel with burial in Wilmeth Cemetery. Survivors include two sons Lewis and Archie Tomlinson two daughters Lydia Leach and Rita Flippin three brothers Gene Ray and Russell Lancaster nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Pallbearers listed include Coy McNeill Jim Jones Carson Easterly George Beard Donald Patton Joe Tomlinson Edwin Creel and Alfred Creel.

Tomme Reunion Held Recently

Family and friends of the late Mr. and Mrs. John R. Tomme gathered at Abi lene State Park near Buffalo Gap for a reunion. Attendees included three sons and wives, two daughters and husbands, a daughter-in-law, 21 grandchildren and great grandchildren from Texas California and Missouri, with several visitors from Fort Worth Merkel Pear Valley and other towns. One son Calvin Tomme was unable to attend.

Winter couple announces engagement of Anna Lee Holder to Dell Rice

Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Holder of Winters reveal the engagement of their daughter Anna Lee Holder to Dell Sherpard Rice, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Rice of Conroe. Anna Lee is a 1967 Winters High School and 1970 Angelo State University graduate, employed by San Antonio ISD.
