Mrs Joseph W Striegler 60 of Houston formerly Winters died Sunday after a long illness in a Houston hospital. Funeral at 10 a m Tuesday in South Park Chapel Houston burial in South Park Cemetery. Born Altus Shipman January 5 1913 in De Leon she moved to Winters as a child, married J W Striegler in San Angelo, lived in Dallas seven years and in Houston since 1941. Survivors: husband three daughters sister and 11 grandchildren.

Ansel Roe Spence, 47, died Thursday at Clinic Hospital in San Angelo. Funeral services were held Saturday at Spill Memorial Chapel. graveside rites followed at Wolf Valley Cemetery. He served in WWII, worked 20 years as head repairman for Union Texas Petroleum Co., and lived in Brown County, Crews Community, then Winters. Surviving his wife, two sons, two daughters, three brothers, and four grandchildren.
