Davis House by Ruffini Sees Sunset on Winters Farm
W S Davis moved to Runnels County in 1902 and built a 1915 Ruffini designed house east of Winters, preserving two original rooms. Oscar Ruffini, famed San Angelo architect, designed cupolas and porch columns in the Ruffini style. The new addition formed a large kitchen dining area, with beaded ceilings and 12 foot rooms. By then all Davis children had married and left home except Clara who married John Q McAdams of Winters.
