The notice lists annual prices for subscriptions in Runnels and adjoining counties at 4.50 dollars, other Texas counties at 5.75 dollars, and out of state at 6.50 dollars with tax included. It also states the newspaper will correct any erroneous reflections upon request to the editor.
The Nelms Family Reunion took place August 9 10 at the Winters Community Center with attendees from Winters San Antonio Merkel Glynn Texas City Wingate Ballinger and Abilene among others. The Bethany Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church met on August 5 at the home of Mrs Earl Dorsett with 15 members present including Mrs Blanche Davis and Mrs J S Tierce.
The Crews community held a Sunday August 10 homecoming with about 150 attendees. Edgar Porter will serve as president for the next event on the second Sunday in August. Sam Faubion thanks volunteers and local businesses for ground cleaning, fans, and community support. The notes also list numerous visiting families and reunions in the area.
Mr and Mrs Carl Parks will be honored with a reception in the Winters Housing Authority Hospitality Room 300 N Grant Winters on Sunday August 17 from 2 to 4 pm Their three children Miss Marie Stephens Mrs Oneta McKnight and Mrs Carlton Parks invite friends The couple married August 3 1925 in Ballinger They have nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren and farm and ranch in Runnels County The Winters Enterprise Winters Texas August 15 1975
The Ladies Aid Circle of St. John's Lutheran Church met in the Fellowship Center at 2 p.m. August 7 with Mrs. Walter Gerhart presiding. Several members listed by name attended as program participants and roll call totaled 21.
The Board of Trustees of Writers Independent Schools will meet Tuesday August 19 1975 at 7 30 p m in the School Administration Office to consider the proposed budget for the 1975 76 school year Public notice is given and anyone wishing to discuss the budget is invited to attend.
