Exoneration for Jeffersonville Treasurer Frey in misappropriation case

Jeffersonville Ind June 28 Treasurer Jacob Frey of Clark county who was accused of misappropriating funds has been exonerated after a county commissioners investigation. He has sued Otis county’s Sargent Evans for damages over the slander charges. A present from the Prince of Wales arrives in New York for Past Grand Master William E. Pina. In Chrusts Ohio a new Dow liquor law suit is filed in the supreme court on an appeal from Cuyahoga county.

Pine lands entered by firm in Louisiana and Mississippi

New Orleans reports Messrs Robinson and Lacy of Grand Rapids Michigan have entered 22 000 acres of pine lands in Calcasieu and Vernon parishes. They have now entered over 10 000 acres in Louisiana and Mississippi since January. Michigan and Wisconsin parties are in the woods seeking pine land in the two states.

Wisconsin Teen Weds Without License in Beloit

Anna Gerkin, 13, stepdaughter of butcher John Schmidt, ran away with John Schmidt Jr. to Beloit Wisconsin and married by a police justice. Schmidt Jr. is 19, a son by Schmidt's former wife. Wisconsin does not require a license.
