Robert Glasgow aged 28 and married died Monday morning in Brunswick Georgia of yellow fever and was buried at noon. He was a resident of Jeffersonville Ind. This marks the first authentic yellow fever case reported from the South.
Fire destroyed the upper portion of the Kings County Penitentiary workshop in Brooklyn. The blaze caused about 0.080 in loss while over 400 convicts at work were safely moved to the main building and confined without incident. Contractors expected to proceed with repairs. no escapes occurred.
